As the chilly winter months roll in, the dropping temperatures and dry air can wreak havoc on your hair, leaving it dull, brittle, and prone to breakage.
However, a little extra care and attention now will help you maintain healthy and luscious locks even during the coldest Winter Months.  Here’s 5 tips to help get your luscious locks Winter ready:

  1. Switch to a Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner.

Hydration is key: Winter air tends to be dry, both outdoors and indoors due to heating systems. To combat the lack of moisture, make hydration a priority by switching your Shampoo and Conditioner to one that contains moisturising properties.
WE RECOMMEND:

  1. Deep Conditioning Treatments weekly.

Deep Conditioning and Moisturising: Intensify your conditioning routine during winter by incorporating deep conditioning treatments into your hair care regimen. Look for products rich in moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, argan oil, or coconut oil. Apply a deep conditioner at least once a week to nourish and hydrate your hair, repairing any damage caused by the cold weather.
WE RECOMMEND:

  1. Leave it in.

Invest in a good quality Leave-In Moisturiser and Hair Oil to help maintain moisture levels throughout the day. These products act as a protective barrier, locking in moisture and preventing dryness while restoring damage. (You really shouldn’t be leaving the house without leave-in moisturiser in your hair! )
WE RECOMMEND:

  1. Brush that scalp!

Brushing your hair (from scalp to ends) promotes blood circulation to the scalp and also activates the Sebaceous Gland, which produces natural oils. Scalp brushing at least a few hours before you wash your hair, allows your natural oils to be released and for your dry hair to absorb them. Then when it comes to wash time, your shampoo will remove any excess oil, leaving you with a healthier scalp and shinier hair.
WE RECOMMEND:
with the use of the Glam Box Shampoo Brush in the shower.

  1. Protect Your Hair.

Drying your hair with a towel can create friction which can damage the hair cuticles, leading to increased frizz and damage.
A microfiber towel is gentler on your hair, reduces friction and increases moisture absorption. Another tip to protect your hair, switch to a satin or silk pillowcase as they help to minimize friction and maintain moisture while you sleep.

So don't let winter weather dampen your hair's natural beauty. By following these simple yet effective tips, you can ensure that your hair remains healthy, hydrated, and vibrant during the coldest months. Embrace the power of hydration, protective styling, deep conditioning, and gentle scalp care to keep your locks looking their best throughout winter and beyond.
